Models and Options for The Information Station Kiosk
The Hardware
Each kiosk enclosure (two models, see pictures below) is made of durable steel formed to an attractive, aesthetically pleasing design. It
has a built-in 19" LCD monitor with infrared type touch screen surface. Infrared touch screen panels are considered by many to be the best due to
it's sealed nature, which keeps out dust and moisture.
Also included in your purchase is a Dell OptiPlex 330 computer loaded with Windows XP operating system. For specs on this computer, please view Dell's PDF
brochure located here. And yes, we are authorized resellers of Dell computers so your Dell warranty is good as gold!

There are two current models of The Information Station, the 5000 and the 7100. More models may come available later.
Optional Printer
As an option, you can order your kiosk with a built-in printer at an additional cost. The printer is built-in to inside of the kiosk
and the printed material exits through a slot in the front of the unit. This is a receipt style printer that can be used to print discount
coupons.
The Software
First off, as stated, the Dell computer is preloaded with Windows XP. We will pre-install your drivers for the touch screen monitor and
calibrate it for you before the kiosk leaves our warehouse. If you ever need to reload drivers or calibrate the touch screen, it is simple, and
our capable tech support staff will be on the phone to help.
Next we pre-install the Information Station proprietary software into your Dell computer. Your system is now
"Plug and Play" ready!
This software has two aspects to it. First there is the Editor which is the user friendly interface that you use to input your
advertiser's information. Secondly, there is the user interface, where visitors to your kiosk will use the touch screen to locate advertiser's
information. That is all there is to it! So easy, even a newbie can do it! But again, our tech staff will be here to help when you need
us. Software upgrades and tech support are free for first year. Nominal charge thereafter. Contact us for
more information.
